Smile Month

Smile Month is always an exciting time for Well Connected; we are out and about sharing smiles and top tips! Smileys have been left wherever Well Connected has been, the sugar fee lollipops have proved to be a winner too!

We have used the theme of having a happy and healthy smile to promote our Sharing Smiles project and are thrilled that early years settings are benefiting from the wonderful resources which are included in the boxes. We are very proud that Sharing Smiles was shortlisted for The Probe Best Charity Outreach Initiative; although we weren’t successful this year we are delighted to have been one of the top 6 projects highlighted.

We shared smileys with Peninsula Dental School staff and students at a recent symposium event when we were sharing key insights from our communities which helps dental professionals of the future to better understand some of the barriers and concerns people have in relation to their dental and oral wellbeing.

We also took to the road and visited the Dentistry Show in Birmingham and met up with colleagues and friends from across the country. It was great to share updates and discuss new opportunities, watch this space for more info!

Although Smile Month formally finishes on 13th June 2024, we continue to share smiles throughout the year. Check our online resources and materials for hints and tips, downloadable games, quizzes and brushing charts.
