Our role was to manage, co-ordinate and deliver this module to Peninsula Dental School students; working with module leads to engage directly with community organisations whilst also supporting community aspects of the dental curriculum. We used our partnership approach to engage directly with stakeholder groups, community-based organisations and local residents across the city of Plymouth.

Our expertise enabled us to blend community engagement and education in distinctive and exceptional ways. This attracted a lot of interest from other dental schools and we enjoyed working with our dental colleagues to share our joint innovative approach at presentations and conferences.

Our Strategic Lead for Community Engagement has also travelled to USA and Europe to give presentations and workshops on this approach.
