We need YOU! Inviting adults with a long-term health condition to take part in our exciting new project! Read on to see how you can help doctors of the future by sharing your health journey with them.
Well Connected are pleased to be working with University of Plymouth Peninsula Medical School on an exciting new programme called Family Placement; the purpose is to recruit 100 families to help medical students develop their knowledge of health and wellbeing.
We are inviting adults who have a long-term health condition and require the support of others to support their wellbeing (i.e a carer, family member or partner), to meet 2nd year medical students across an academic year, to share their health journey with them.
Do you or a member of your family have a long term health condition;
Require the support of others for your wellbeing;
Are you interested in sharing your health journey with doctors of the future;
Able to meet with 2 medical students 3 times per academic year, in your home (during the day, term time only), and live in Plymouth and the surrounding areas?
If you answered ‘yes’ to all of the above then we’d love to hear from you!
"Here at Peninsula Medical School, we believe that engagement with individuals living with long-term health conditions is essential for developing compassionate and patient-centred healthcare professionals.
The Family Placement Programme is an exciting and invaluable opportunity for our students to gain insights that textbooks and lectures simply can't provide."
